This order form is to be used by Local Health Departments (LHDs) to order COVID-19/Flu A&B antigen tests. Local Health Departments may request tests directly from CDPH while supplies last. Inventory is limited and not all orders may be fulfilled. For questions, please email CIDMCM@CDPH.ca.gov.
These antigen tests detect influenza, including H5N1. They are not specific to H5N1 and will not specify the influenza subtype. Follow up testing (subtyping) is required to determine if the influenza virus is H5N1. Use these tests to rule out other respiratory infections in symptomatic at-risk individuals.
iHealth COVID/Flu A&B rapid tests are for distribution to individuals for self-testing at home. Tests can be self-administered by those over 14 years old. A parent/guardian may administer for those between the ages of 2-14 years old. Tests are only authorized for use in people with signs and symptoms of respiratory infection within the first four (4) days of symptom onset. Tests should NOT be used to test asymptomatic individuals.
